The Upadhyai lab is part of a vibrant interdisciplinary team at the Department of Medical Genetics at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal. 

 

We work in close collaboration with clinical and human geneticists, bioinformaticians, scientists and genetic counsellors to improve our understanding of genetic human disorders. Our research is aimed to provide preliminary knowledge of molecular mechanisms underlying disease, aid in clinical diagnosis and inform on future development of therapeutic strategies.

 

We have been generously supported by extramural funding from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India, as well as start-up support from MAHE, Manipal. 

 

We are part of the cosmopolitan community at MAHE in Manipal, a town nestled between the arcane Western Ghats, a UNESCO world heritage and the lyrical Arabian sea coast.
